 NOTED DIRECTOR WILL TALK WITH INTERESTED
STUDENTS DURING FESTIVAL

September 26, 2002:  A one hour seminar on film production will be available on a limited basis to high school students the Saturday morning of the Lone Pine Film Festival, October 12th at 9 am in Room 10 at the High School. Sponsored by the Museum of Lone Pine Film History Education and Community Outreach Department and the Lone Pine Unified School Duistric, the attendees must pre-register for the event by either calling Lone Pine High school at 876-5577 or Chris Langley at 876-4308. They may also register by emailing lonepinemovies@aol.com. The seminar is free.

 Ron Underwood, director of TREMORS, CITY SLICKERS, ADVENTURES OF PLUTO NASH, and many other films will meet with interested high school students about film making, breaking into the industry and the challenges of a career in Hollywood. This represents an opportunity to meet with a working director who will also be on the TREMORS Panel later in the day. He has a film forthcoming entitled STEALING SINATRA, that deals with the botched kidnapping of Frank Sinatra jr.
in the 1970’s.Another educational opportunity open to all students as well as county residents is Craig Barrons presentation on cutting edge special effects. Scheduled for 3:30 Saturday in the L.P. H.S. auditorium, he will illustrate
his work as a special effects supervisor.
