TWO NEW FILMS WILL BE SHOWN FOR FIRST TIME AT FESTIVAL

September 25, 2002:  The long history of filming in the Lone Pine area and all of Inyo County continues today with several movies now scouting the area as reported by the Inyo County Film Commission. Two films made in the last year in Lone Pine will be shown on Sunday as part of the Lone Pine Film Festival premiere program. However, he two films really have nothing more in common with each other than their locations.GOODBYE GUY GUY was shot with the new digital video format and concerns of group of young adults on their way to Las Vegas. BOUNTY, on the otherhand, is a short fifteen minute film with, as its directors reports, a feeling of Eastwood’s UNFORGIVEN. He warns that it is a violent film, but once again about a gunfighter beginning his own process of redemption.GOODBYE GUY GUY screens on Sunday, October 13 at 9:45 a.m. BOUNTY will show at 12:30 p.m. the same day. Tickets are free with Festival Souvenir button or cost $5 at the door.Film makers and cast members will be available after screenings to discuss the films with interested audience members.
