April 24, 2002:  Lone Pine was selected from over 400 film festivals around the world to be one of the 12 included in L.A. Times film critic Kenneth Turan's new book. Entitled SUNDANCE TO SARAJEVO: FILM FESTIVALS AND THE WORLD THEY MADE, Lone Pine is including in Part 3 "Festivals with Aesthetic Agendas." Turan attended in 1995 and write very accurately of his experience. he writes of our Festival: "Ask not what the world can do for you, says the self-sufficient Lone Pine Film Festival, show everyone what you have done for the world."
