| The 2008 Lone Pine Film Festival Souvenir Button will cover many events at the Festival for the first time. “Now visitors to the 19th annual event will find the convenience of one stop shopping for many events at the Festival and will be able to save even more money,” announced Chris Langley, Lone Pine Film Festival Director.
The new list of events covered by the Souvenir Button will make it even closer to an “All Festival” Pass. Now all movies will be included in the button including the coveted Saturday night Hallmark film. All of the four celebrity guest panels during the weekend will also be included. All events at the Beverly and Jim Rogers Museum of Lone Pine Film History and the Wild West Theater will be available on a first come first serve basis to Festival button holders..
This year Statham Town Hall will be the site of one-on-one question and answer sessions where fans will get to ask each celebrity guest what they have always wanted to know. These sessions will include all guests and will be scheduled conveniently throughout the weekend. Guests will also be signing autographs after their sessions. Entry will be with the Festival Button.
As before purchasing the Festival Button will provide a voucher for one Dave Holland Location Bus Tour, and one free Festival program.
Festival Director Chris Langley explained, “We are excited about the changes. They were initiated because of great ideas shared by attendees last year. It will make attending our varied program easier because so much more is included in the Button. It will also increase the opportunity for folks to save even more money depending on what they choose to attend.”
The schedule of the Festival events, the celebrity guests and other details will be announced first on the Festival website and fans will be able to purchase the buttons on-line or over the phone at a great savings if they act before October.
The Button now is only $50, but will go up to $65 on October 1. Tickets for specialty tours, concerts and other special ticket items will be put on sale in the next several months. “Check back to the website often where you will get the first opportunity to buy tickets. We will be sending out the official brochure on June 1, but many items will have already been put on sale there and over the phone.” Call 760-876-9103, email LPfilmfest@qnet.com or visit the on-line shopfor items. |
